Your Chef


Your English speaking Italian chef was trained at the Ritz Escoffier cooking school. After a year he returned to Rome where he created and managed a chain of successful American steak houses in Rome. In 2004 he opened Thatís Amore restaurant in the center of Rome close to the Trevi Fountain and then decided to transform his property in the countryside into a cooking school and guest house.

Join us a unique experience with chef Fab as invites you into his personal home located just meters away from the monumental stairway of 138 steps, known as The Spanish Steps.

His home, previously owned by a princess, offers a warm
environment with breathtaking views.

Fabio will share his culinary secrets behind creating classic Italian pastas.

He encourages creativity and wants you to draw inspiration from Campo de Fiori and the fresh ingredients of the season. You will tantalize your taste buds and want for more.

Morning Class

Duration : 5hrs

You will meet at the Campo dei Fiori market at 9:30am and purchase fresh produce on your market visit andbe introduced Roman specialities. From here we walk to Fab's apartment at the top of the Spanish Steps with an amazing view. Here you will start your cooking class at about 10:45am.

Make gnochhi,  Make ravioli, Make meat dish, sit and eat

Return to the kitchen to start the hands on cooking class. Participants eat after each dish they prepare while it is hot. 

Class ends at about 2:30pm

Course: Particpants make 2 pastas and a meat dish. After each dish is made, particpants eat it while it is hot . All meals are served with wine. Minimum 2 people.

Includes:  2 pastas and a meat dish, wine with meals and for classes in the countryside, roundtrip transportation.

A Day in the Counrtry

30 minutes outside of Rome to the ancient mid-evil village, Mazzano Romano.

After visiting with local merchants and hand-picking fresh ingredients you will head to his charming featured property set in a gigantic forest.

Fabio will teach you the basics of preparing Italian pasta and encourages creativity using inspiration from the fresh ingredients of the current season.

The hum of the soothing river flowing below and the relaxing cool breeze as you sip local Italian wine is sure to make this a day to remember.
